Vacancy student analyst ‘Global Real Estate Engagement Network’

(Utrecht, around 10 hours per week)

We are looking for a student who wants to work as an analyst for the Global Real Estate Engagement Network (GREEN). GREEN is a collaborative engagement platform that, on behalf of its members (asset managers and pension funds), talks to listed real estate funds about their sustainability ambitions and practices, with the goal of increasing their efforts. Would you like to get work experience in the field of real estate and sustainability? To get a feel of working in a financial consultancy firm and contribute to making the real estate sector more sustainable? Then do read on!

What initiative will you be working on?

GREEN is a collaborative engagement platform that, on behalf of its members (asset managers and pension funds), talks to listed real estate funds about their sustainability ambitions and practices. The goal is that by our continuous dialogue with these funds we lower the impact of real estate on the environment and to simultaneously support pension funds and asset managers with managing climate risks in their real estate portfolios. Our engagement efforts are an important part of the puzzle to limit climate change effects, as real estate is responsible for 30% of global CO2 emissions and therefore will be a big factor in reaching the goals set out in the Paris Agreement.

What will you be your main responsibilities?

As an analyst you will analyse the sustainability efforts and ambitions of listed real estate companies and process your analysis in reports. You will also contribute to preparing engagement calls and drawing up questions for real estate companies, for which the basis will be your analysis. In terms of working hours, you are free to choose when you work, as long as you are able to finish 2-3 analyses per week and have an hour or two each week during normal working hours to discuss your analyses. Within Finance Ideas you will be working alongside the GREEN team.

An impression of your main activities:

  • Analysing the sustainability efforts and ambitions of listed real estate companies
    • Impact of real estate companies on the climate
    • Climate risk management of real estate companies
  • Draw up reports based on your analyses
  • Keeping a large database up-to-date
  • Setting up PowerPoint presentations
  • Data analysis
  • General support in preparing engagement calls with real estate companies

Are you our new student analyst?

So, do you have:

  • A university level of thinking?
  • Previous experience in the field of sustainability (in work or studies)?
  • Decent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint?

What’s in it for you?

  • Curious to know what it’s like working in a consultancy firm?
  • Interested in a flexible job next to your studies for about 8-12 hours per week?
  • Possibility tot work remote
  • Satisfied with an hourly wage of € 15 per hour?

Then it’s a match!
